Key West, Fla. (November 16, 2018) – Key West International Airport today announced that Delta Air Lines will launch new seasonal Saturday service between New York’s LaGuardia Airport and Key West, boosting the carrier’s seasonal leisure offerings to destinations in Florida and the Caribbean.
“This new service is thrilling for not only our community but also for those who love to come to the Keys,” said Virginia A. Panico, Executive Vice President, Key West Chamber of Commerce.
“We look forward to working with Delta to ensure a successful route and to welcoming new visitors to our area.”
The seasonal flights will be operated by Delta Connection carrier Republic Airline from March 9, 2019, through August 31, 2019, on Embraer E-170 aircraft with 9 seats in First Class, 12 in Delta Comfort+ and 48 in the Main Cabin.
“Delta’s announcement is excellent news for Key West International Airport and the Lower Keys,” said Richard Strickland, Monroe County Director of Airports.
“The new flights will add another option for travelers from Key West and the Lower Keys as well as for those wishing to visit our unique destination.”
